A new option in hardwood flooring will be hitting the U.S. market this year, and let’s just say it doesn’t exactly follow the straight and narrow path. Previously available only in Europe, Bolefloor, a Dutch hardwood manufacturer, plans to debut their unique hardwood product in the U.S. this May. What makes Bolefloor unique is their planks, which have organic curves that follow a tree’s natural lines, instead of the usual straight edges of traditional hardwood floors.
The name Bolefloor comes from the word bole, referring to the trunk of a tree. The curved planks are not only aesthetically interesting but environmentally friendly, as the curved edges allow 20% more of each sawed plank to be used (compared with traditional milling processes).
for distribution throughout the U.S, and look out for this exciting new flooring option in the months to come!
